THE LORD GAVE THE WORD

“The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it”,Psalm 68:11.

Beloved, the word of God is not mere speech, it is God Himself revealed. When God speaks, His word carries life, authority, and power. The Bible declares that “the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us” (John 1:14). That means His word is not an abstract idea but a living reality that transforms lives.

When the Lord gives the word, He entrusts us with a divine responsibility. Like Apostle Paul declared, “I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise” (Romans 1:14). In other words, the gospel is not to be hoarded but published, preached, and proclaimed—to every tribe, tongue, and nation.

The Psalmist testifies of the greatness of those who publish it, and Isaiah echoed this mandate: “O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!” (Isaiah 40:9).

Child of God, when you publish God’s word—whether by preaching, teaching, writing, testifying, or simply sharing your faith—you align yourself with heaven’s agenda. Daniel 12:3 assures us: “They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”

This is not just about earthly recognition, but eternal rewards. Proverbs 11:30 declares: “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” And Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 15:41–42 that, just as the sun, moon, and stars differ in glory, so also shall the resurrection reveal different levels of glory, reflecting how faithfully we lived and shared God’s truth.

Therefore, beloved, let us not keep silent. We are called to be the publishers of God’s word, living epistles read by men, and voices crying in the wilderness of this generation: “Behold your God!”

PRAYERS
1. Father, thank You for giving Your word that brings life, healing, and salvation.
2. Lord, let Your word dwell richly in me and flow out of me to others in power.
3. I receive boldness to declare Your word without fear or shame, in season and out of season.
4. O Lord, make me a vessel that carries Your message to the nations, families, and communities.
5. Father, let my life be a testimony of Your word, shining light that draws others to righteousness.
6. Every power assigned to silence my voice of witness, be destroyed in Jesus’ name.
7. Lord, use me to publish Your word to the unreached and raise others through my obedience
