NO PAIN, NO GAIN – PART 2

DAY 39
NO PAIN, NO GAIN – PART 2

“Also I say unto you, whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God.” Luke 12:8

Following Christ is not a journey of comfort but of conviction, not of convenience but of commitment. It demands self-denial, courage, and endurance. Jesus never hid this truth from us. He openly declared that persecution and ridicule are part of the price we pay to stand for righteousness:

“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven… Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.” Matthew 5:10–11

Christ’s words remind us that identifying with Him publicly may bring earthly rejection, but it secures heavenly recognition. When we confess Him before men, He confesses us before the angels of God. What a divine privilege!

Peter once asked Jesus, “Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?” (Matthew 19:27). Jesus’ response was profound and comforting: those who follow Him faithfully will not only reign with Him in eternity but will also experience divine compensation in this life.

“Verily I say unto you… ye which have followed me… shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” Matthew 19:28

Sadly, Judas Iscariot was among those twelve chosen to sit on thrones, but he forfeited his seat through disobedience and greed. May the Lord give you the grace to finish well and not lose your crown.

Our Lord further assures us that our sacrifice will yield fruit both now and in eternity:

“He shall receive an hundredfold now in this time… with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.” Mark 10:30

Beloved, every pain borne for the sake of Christ has an expiry date. Every tear shed in service to God carries the seed of a harvest. The ridicule today becomes rejoicing tomorrow. The rejection of men will give way to the celebration of heaven. Therefore, “be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58

So, endure your present pain with faith, because no pain is wasted in the school of Christ. The thorns today will produce the crown tomorrow.

ALLELUYAH!!!

PRAYERS:
1. Father, thank You for the privilege to share in the sufferings of Christ. Help me to stand firm and never deny You in times of trial.
2. Lord Jesus, give me grace to endure the pains and challenges that come with following You faithfully.
3. Father, let every pain I experience for Your sake yield an eternal reward. Turn my tears into testimonies.
4. Lord, deliver me from every spirit of discouragement, compromise, or backsliding. I will not end like Judas Iscariot I shall finish well.
5. Heavenly Father, cause my labour in Your vineyard to bring abundant fruit both now and in eternity.
