GOD: THE GREAT DELIVERER

DAY 42

GOD: THE GREAT DELIVERER

“This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” Psalm 34:6–7

The term “this poor man” does not signify material poverty but spiritual humility one who is poor in spirit, broken, and contrite in heart. This is the man or woman who trembles at God’s Word, who understands that vengeance and deliverance belong to God alone. Such a person recognizes that the enemy’s power may appear strong, but there is a greater power the Sovereign God who fights for His own.

When the enemy rises against you and the battles seem overwhelming, God wants you to rest in the assurance that He is your Defender and Deliverer. There are powers you cannot contend with in your strength, but the Lord, the Mighty Man in battle, stands ready to vindicate you. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).

Apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 15:4 that “whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Every account of deliverance in the Bible serves as proof that your situation is not beyond God’s power. When Daniel faced the lions, God shut their mouths. When the three Hebrew boys were thrown into the fire, the Son of God appeared in the furnace. When Pharaoh declared, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey His voice?” God answered with signs, wonders, and plagues until Pharaoh bowed.

Beloved, the same God who fought for Israel still fights for you today. Your enemies may not know your God, but they will see His finger of power and hand of vengeance move on your behalf. Every “Pharaoh” holding you captive will release you, for the Lord will stretch out His hand and break their resistance.

When the wicked mock, saying, “Who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?” (Daniel 3:15c), let your heart rest in confidence, for your Deliverer will arise. God declares, “I will take vengeance, and I will spare no man” (Isaiah 47:3). The Lord will expose every hidden agenda against you and turn the shame of your adversaries into your elevation.

Remember, the battle is not yours, it is the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Your duty is to dwell in the secret place of the Most High and abide under His shadow. There, no arrow of the enemy can reach you, for His angels encamp round about those who fear Him.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, I thank You for being my Deliverer and Defender. I rest in Your power and not in my own strength.
2. Lord, arise in Your power and fight every battle that has risen against my destiny, my family, and my peace.
3. O God of vengeance, expose every secret enemy and frustrate every evil plan fashioned against my life in the name of Jesus.
4. Father, let Your angels encamp round about me, my home, my children, and all that concerns me. Deliver us from every trap of the enemy.
5. Lord, silence every voice of Pharaoh in my life saying “Who is your God?” Let them see Your mighty hand and bow to Your power.
6. Father, let Your deliverance bring me into a new season of joy, victory, and divine settlement in Jesus’ name.
