DAY 18 – YOU ARE NOT LIMITED
“And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.” – Luke 19:2–3
⸻
MESSAGE
Beloved, a genuine desire to connect with Jesus is a powerful weapon to overcome personal limitations and social barriers.
Zacchaeus faced many obstacles:
• His physical limitation — he was short in stature.
• His social limitation — he was despised as a tax collector.
• The crowd limitation — there was a multitude surrounding Jesus.
Yet, determination lifted him up, faith positioned him higher, and his encounter with Jesus brought transformation.
Child of God, life’s troubles may differ, but they are not strange to God. The Apostle Paul reminds us: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Cor. 10:13).
The very thing you think is a limitation may be the platform God uses to lift you. Before Zacchaeus ever needed a tree, divinity had already planted it. That tree became his ladder to see the Master. Beloved, what seems like a disadvantage in your life can become your advantage in God’s hands.
When Jesus reached that place, He looked up and called Zacchaeus by name, declaring: “Come down, for today salvation has come to your house.” His encounter changed his heart, leading to repentance, restitution, and transformation.
Dearly beloved, your limitations are not the end of your story. They are stepping stones to your testimony.
