CHRIST’S AMBASSADOR INDEED

DAY 41
CHRIST’S AMBASSADOR INDEED

“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men.” 2 Corinthians 3:2

An ambassador is an official representative of one country residing in another. Two important truths stand out here:

  1. An ambassador represents the authority and values of the government that sent him or her.
  2. An ambassador resides in a foreign land, not as a permanent citizen but as a messenger on assignment.

In the same way, we are Christ’s ambassadors Heaven is our true home, and Earth is our field of assignment. Our words, conduct, and lifestyle are meant to represent Christ to a watching world. Every believer who has received Jesus into their heart has entered into a divine relationship that qualifies them as His representative.

However, not all who claim to be Christ’s ambassadors have a relationship with Him. Jesus Himself warned in Luke 13:26–27, that there will be many who will say, “We have eaten and drunk in thy presence,” yet He will reply, “I know you not.” Beloved, being a true ambassador of Christ goes beyond association it is about representation through relationship.

To be Christ’s ambassador indeed, you must see yourself as a pilgrim on earth here temporarily, living with eternity in view. The heroes of faith in Hebrews 11:13 understood this truth; they saw themselves as strangers and pilgrims, fully persuaded of the promises of God, even when they had not yet received them.

The early apostles were unlearned men by worldly standards, yet they walked with such authority and grace that their persecutors testified, “These men have been with Jesus.” (Acts 4:13). That is what being Christ’s ambassador looks like reflecting His character, speaking His truth, and walking in His power.

Jesus said in John 14:12, “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do.” That is the divine privilege and responsibility of every true ambassador of Christ to continue His work on earth until He returns.

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Lord Jesus, thank You for choosing me as Your ambassador on earth. Help me to live a life worthy of that calling.
  2. Father, cleanse me from every sin or habit that misrepresents You before the world.
  3. Holy Spirit, teach me to live as a pilgrim, not attached to worldly desires but focused on Heaven’s agenda.
  4. Lord, let my life be an open epistle of Your grace and truth, known and read of all men.
  5. Empower me, O Lord, to walk in the authority and humility of Christ as I represent You daily.
