DAY 90 – RENEWED STRENGTH FOR THE WEARY SOUL

RENEWED STRENGTH FOR THE WEARY SOUL

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.”
— Isaiah 40:31

Weariness is a common human experience. We grow tired under the pressures of life, exhausted by long journeys, and faint from the battles we face along the way. In this powerful verse, God speaks directly to the weary soul with a promise not of a struggle-free life, but of divine strength supplied in the midst of it.

The Required Posture: Waiting on the Lord

Waiting on the Lord is not passive or idle. It is an active, confident, and expectant trust in God. It means laying aside frantic striving and choosing to place our hope, timing, and outcomes into God’s capable hands.

King David understood this principle when he declared:

“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
Psalm 27:14

The Received Promise: Renewed Strength

The word renew in Isaiah 40:31 means to exchange. God does not merely supplement our strength; He replaces our weakness with His power. Our finite energy is exchanged for His infinite supply.

This truth is echoed in the Apostle Paul’s experience. After pleading with God concerning a personal burden, the Lord responded:

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9

The Resulting Power: A Threefold Progression

God’s renewed strength carries us through every dimension of life:
• They will soar-rising above crises and limitations by divine power.
• They will run-receiving endurance for long-term assignments without burning out.
• They will walk — gaining grace for the daily routines of life without giving up.

Paul confidently declared:

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
— Philippians 4:13

The Reliable Source: The Everlasting God

This promise stands firm because of who God is. Human strength fails, but God’s strength is everlasting and inexhaustible. He is the source that never runs dry.

“The Lord is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation.”
— Exodus 15:2

Child of God, the invitation is clear. If you are weary, tired, or on the verge of fainting, the answer is not to try harder but to wait better. Fix your eyes on the Saviour. Wait on Him through prayer, His Word, and quiet trust. He will faithfully exchange your exhaustion for His endurance and give you strength to soar, to run, and to walk with Him.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, You are my everlasting God and the source of my strength. Today, I bring my weariness, burdens, and limitations before You. I choose to wait on You with trust and expectation. As I wait, I receive the divine exchange,my weakness for Your strength. Renew my body, refresh my soul, and revive my spirit. Let Your grace be sufficient for me, and let the power of Christ rest upon me. I declare that I will not faint, I will not give up, and I will finish strong by Your strength. Thank You for renewing me today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

DECLARATION

I declare that as I wait upon the Lord, my strength is renewed.
I mount up with wings like an eagle.
I run and I am not weary.
I walk and I do not faint.

The Lord is my strength and my song.
The grace of God sustains me daily.
I am empowered by Christ to do all things assigned to me.
I will finish strong, and I will not give up.

So shall it be, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
