DAY 14
GOD KNOWS YOU
“Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.” – John 1:47-48
Child of God, there is a divine truth you must never forget: God knows you. He knows your name, your story, your struggles, and your destiny. He knows where you are right now and where He is taking you. Nothing about your life is hidden from Him.
David captures this mystery in Psalm 139:4-12: “Before a word is on my tongue, You know it completely, O Lord… If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there.” This means that God not only sees you, He goes ahead of you and surrounds you.
Before you were conceived, God had already designed your purpose (Jeremiah 1:5). You are not an accident of birth, nor a product of chance—you are a deliberate creation of the Almighty.
Nathanael once doubted Jesus, asking, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Yet, instead of rebuke, Jesus responded in love, revealing that He had already seen him under the fig tree. This teaches us that God hears even the words we whisper in secret, but His mercy triumphs over judgment.
Beloved, this is the heart of God: even when you doubt Him, even when you fall, even when you don’t recognize Him—He still knows you, calls you by name, and works to bring you into His divine plan.
Just as He called Cyrus by name, even though Cyrus did not know Him, and empowered him to subdue nations (Isaiah 45:1, 4), God will do the same for you. His knowledge of you is not passive—it is active. He knows you to empower you, to preserve you, to shape you, and to reveal His glory through you.
Therefore, humble yourself under His mighty hand, and He will lift you up in due season. Surrender to His all-seeing eyes, and you will never walk in confusion, for the Shepherd knows His sheep, and His sheep are never abandoned.
